IFCA World Slalom Championships in Alacati, Turkey from August 1st to 6th 2006
Following
on from the huge success of the 2005 IFCA European Slalom Championships, the
International Funboard Class Association (IFCA) and the Windsurfing Office are
pleased to announce the 2006 WORLD SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS in conjunction with the
Windsurfing Euro-Cup in Alacati, Cesme (Turkey) from 1st to 6th August 2006.
The venue made an excellent impression on the competitors, the class and the Euro-Cup organization in June 2005. Every day the wind was blowing with at least 15 knots. The maximums reached up to over 30 knots. This enabled the race committee to run no less then 9 slalom eliminations for all of the fleets over four tremendous competition days.
At this event, the competitors will not only fight for the official IFCA Slalom World Champion title and prize money but for points for the annual slalom ranking of the Windsurfing Euro-Cup 2006.
NoR and more info will be available by the end of February.
