Notice Of Race

1. The Organizing Authority of the regatta is Alex’s Bluewater Foundation, Shake A Leg Miami and Flat Earth Racing.

2. The race will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules Of Sailing.

3. The expected classes are:
Sailboards in the following classes:

Longboard (No sail or size limit)
Formula (Standard Formula Rule)
RS:X One Design
Prodigy One Design
Kona One Design
Open Hybrid (10 sqm. limit)
**If five or more one design boards are entered, they will be scored as a class
Snipe
Sonar (Paralympic trim)
J-24

4. The racing area will be in Biscayne Bay northeast of the seaplane channel, approximately 1 nm from the Shake A Leg docks.

5. All sailboards and sailboats must have sail numbers. Competitors sailing without sail number will be scored as DNC (did not compete) . Your entry is incomplete if you do not have sail numbers.

6. Schedule Of Events:
Friday, January 12, 0900-1100: On site registration and check in.
1130: Welcoming remarks
1400: First warning, races to follow
Saturday, January 13, 1100: First warning, races to follow
Sunday, Janaury 14, 1100: First warning, races to follow. No warning after 1300.

7. The courses will windward/leewards and trapezoids.

8. Entry fees:
RSX Sailboards: $175/boat by Jan. 2, 2007 ($25 late fee after Jan. 3, 2007)
All other Sailboards: $120/boat by Jan 2, 2007 ($25 after Jan. 3, 2007)
Snipes (2 day race): $120/boat by Jan. 2, 2007 ($25 late fee after Jan. 3, 2007)
Sonars/J-24: 160/boat by Jan. 2, 2007 ($25 late fee after Jan. 3, 2007)
(**Entry fee includes three days of racing, continental breakfast, light shore side lunch, and dinners each night of event. Additional social tickets may be purchased for $40/ person for all three days).

9. When five races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score

10. Keel boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta except with the permission of the Principal Race Officer.
