Infos zum geplanten Sommertraining im Anschluss an die Deutsche Jugend-Meisterschaft in Travemünde:
In der Woche vom 2. bis 8. August wird das 4. Techno 293 Training in Surendorf in der Eckernförder Bucht stattfinden. Als Stützpunkt dient das Nordwind Wassersport-Center. Ein ideales Revier um sich auf die Jugendweltmeisterschaft in Weymouth / England Ende August vorzubereiten.
Der Preis für das Training 239,- Euro, es beinhaltet neben dem Training eine Unterbringung mit voller Verpflegung.
Achtung: Meldeschluss ist der 30.06.2009 - Bitte direkt bei Nordwind Wassersport anmelden (Adresse siehe unten). Mindest-Teilnehmerzahl sind 10 Jugendliche!!
Die DWSV beteiligt sich in diesem Jahr an der Anschaffung von max. 10 Bic T293 OD Boards (ohne Rigg). Förderberechtigt sind nur DSV bzw. DWSV registrierte Vereine oder Landesstützpunkte, keine Einzelpersonen oder professionelle Surfschulen. Für die Bestellung eines Boards bei der Choppy Water GmbH in Kiel erhält der Verein/Landesstützpunkt ein Bic T293 OD von der DWSV dazu. Es werden pro Verein oder Landesstützpunkt max. 2 Boards unterstützt. Die Boards bleiben Eigentum der DWSV und werden für zwei Jahre kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Danach können die Boards vergünstigt erworben werden. Die Vereine/Landesstützpunkte sind für die Pflege und Instandhaltung des Materials selbst verantwortlich und tragen auch die Speditionskosten für die Anlieferung.
Die Vereine/Stützpunkte, die bereits letztes Jahr Material erhalten haben, sind von der Aktion ausgeschlossen. Vorrang hat die breite Versorgung von möglichst vielen Vereinen, hier besonders der Start der neuen Jugend Bundesliga. Sollten z.B. mehr als fünf Vereine Interesse an je zwei Boards zeigen, kann die Anzahl der Förderung auf ein Board reduziert werden. Dann gilt die Reihenfolge des Bestelleingangs. Ein Rechtsanspruch besteht nicht.

Die Bestellungen müssen spätestens am 28.02.2009 eingegangen sein.
Am 02.03.2009 kann nach Auswertung der Bestelleingänge Rückmeldung über den individuellen Umfang der Förderung gegeben werden.
Warum keine Förderung von Riggs?
Bei einer. Förderung von kmpl. Sets würde das Budget nur für die Hälfte der Boards reichen. Die Erfahrung aus dem letzten Jahr hat gezeigt, dass die meisten Neueinsteiger mit Segeln <5,5m² gestartet sind. Die Bic One Design Riggs waren in der Regel noch zu groß. Weiterhin bleibt in Deutschland, wie in allen anderen europäischen Ländern bei nationalen Regatten die frühere Regel mit dem Rigg- Pool bestehen (siehe http://www.techno293.org/page0014v01.htm). Die Mistral OD Riggs 6,6 und 7,4m² können auch verwendet werden. Die Nutzung der Bic One Design Riggs steht jedem Jugendlichen natürlich auch frei.

First Summer Youth Olympic Games: Singapore 2010 On Track
The Coordination Commission of the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games concluded its first visit to the host city Singapore on 1 November with the message that the Games are on track for success.
Eight months after the host city announcement on 21 February 2008, the Singapore Organising Committee (SYOGOC) has already established all the foundations necessary to stage the Games in 2010. “We are impressed with how the preparations have advanced. SYOGOC is very much on track”, said Sergey BUBKA, Chairman of the Coordination Commission, at the end of the visit. “We can count on the full support of the whole of Government and all Singaporeans, as well as on a highly dynamic team committed to serving our vision for these Games”, concluded SYOGOC Chairman and IOC Executive Board member Ser Miang NG.
The Coordination Commission had the opportunity to visit various venues that will stage the 200 events in 26 sports. A master plan proposal for the venues for the 1st Youth Olympic Games was put forward by SYOGOC for approval. The sailing competition in Singapore will feature 100 hundred young sailors, aged between 15-16 years, competing across four events:
One person dinghy boys – Byte CII
One person dinghy girls – Byte CII
Windsurfing boys – Techno 293
Windsurfing girls – Techno 293
The seven members of the Coordination Commission were highly impressed by the Youth Olympic Village based at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) campus. This site offers not only the capacity to host the 5,000 athletes and team officials expected to participate in the Games, but also training facilities for many sports and excellent facilities for the culture and education programme.
The Organizing Committee emphasised in its presentations the importance of the culture and education programme. In order to match the different origin and languages of all participants, most of these activities would be centred on experience-based education, allowing the athletes to experiment and learn at the same time. The project also includes well targeted communications initiatives, including a specific youth website and other digital applications to reach out to young people all over the world.
”Presentations were of a high standard and we can return home with the feeling that our partners in Singapore have well understood the mission entrusted to them, and that they can cope with the considerable time pressure. We just have to keep up the same pace and vigilance for the remaining 22 months until the opening of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games,” concluded BUBKA.
